They include un-opened collectible GI Joes and Special Edition Barbie Dolls. Also I have many old football and baseball cards. I’m looking for a website that I can just look for the item that I have and see how much I should attempt to sell it for.

And i’ve already used ebay.com

One way to start your business in Ebay is to sell used items that you just kept in your closet or in your garage. This is the best way to get your feet wet and also to know the trends on which type of items sell well in Ebay. A lot of people use Ebay to sell their stuff that you normally sell in the garage sale.

There are things to consider though before listing your items for sale. Ebay have strict guidelines on used items especially clothes. Used clothes need to be laundered first and selling used underwear are not accepted at all. Clothes also need to be graded and properly described as such on the product description. Weapons are also strictly prohibited to be sold in Ebay. Some type of air guns are not allowed. It is better to know first if the items that you are selling pass their TOS.

Look around your house and see what items that you have that you just forgot about. The general rule of thumb is that if you have items that you didn’t use in the last year, then you probably don’t need it and these are the ones that you can start selling in Ebay. You can go through all your clothes that you haven’t worn especially the designer labels. They sell good and you can probably get more that what you have paid for them especially if they are considered Vintage. This also goes for handbags and shoes.

Another thing that you can look into are the toys. Vintage toys sell well because of their uniqueness and collectibility factor. Wind up toys and robots are collectibles and they sell good in Ebay. Chinaware is also a good choice. Look inside your cupboard for old china and if they are a set, they will get a lot of bids.

When you run out off stuff to sell at your own house, and business is good, then you can start going to local garage sales and look for items that you can sell. The older the item, the better and as to clothes, shoes and accessories, the “branded” one will sell better than the big box store brand. You can also check on Ebay’s Hot list and see which items are in demand and these are the ones to look out for in the garage sales. One tip is to go to church or group yard sales so that you can shop in just one place and you will definitely find one or more items that you can sell.

If yard sale items are what you plan to specialize in, that’s great. In this particular market it is very important to keep a list of customers who are looking for a particular item. If you sold a vintage Barbie doll to a customer, let them know when you find more. Better yet, ask them what they are looking for when you make the first sale. Make a hit list of customer requests. If you find one, list it on eBay, but let your customer know about that listing.

There is a lot of money in yard sales and sometimes you can find items that are literally treasures and the owner just didn’t know about. Just be sure to properly describe and use plenty of pictures in listing used items so that you can get most bidders.

Uglydolls are designer toys collection that was conceptualized and created by toy designers, Sun-Min Kim and David Horvath. These unique soft cuddly toys are distinguished by the traditional cuteness factor that is perceived by ugliness. The first range of Uglydolls were launched in 2002 and with an overwhelming response, in 2006, they were awarded the ‘Specialty Toy of the Year’ by the Toy Industry of America.

The sudden catapult to success, Uglydolls became a instant hit with all ages and a variety of merchandise was available. With over 34 individual Uglydolls, each of them has a special identity and characteristic feature that sets it apart from the rest. Abima, Babo’s Bird, Deer Ugly, Bop ‘n’ Beep, Babo, Ice Bat, Big Toe, Cinko, Chuckanucka, Gato Deluxe, Fea Bea, Kisten Ket, Jeero, Ox, Mr. Kasoogi, Moxy, Minimum Wage, Mrs. Kasoogi, Puglee, Plunko, Peaco, Poe, Uglydog, Trunko, Target, Uglyghost, Toodee, Tray, Uglyworm, Wedgehead, Winkolina, Turny Burny, Wage and Uppy have become some of the most sought after items as dolls, key chains and motifs on designer wear by Uglydolls.

Uglydolls have made their presence felt in the designer wear industry for kids and teens alike. Tee shirts, pants and tank tops are available embellished with Uglydolls characters. If you are looking for an attractive designer wear, check out the Uglydolls series of tank tops, pants and tee shirts.

Uglydolls started when David Horvath sent numerous letters to his wife, Sun Min Kim who was away and in the corner drew a picture of Wage in every letter. Just to surprise David, Sun Min Kim actually sewed the cartoon character Wage and sent it to him, as a gift. David showed it to a toys agent and asked her to sew some more. That began the long journey and today Uglydolls is a sought after brand name in designer wear, toys and cartoons. Though usually sold in specialty toy stores, there are calendars, toys, books kids just love. For the older teens, motifs of different Uglydolls designer wear are available in both online and virtual stores.

However, to maintain the uniqueness, each doll is handmade and so each doll differs slightly from each other. As all dolls come with a special tag, enumerating the different characteristics of each doll, take your pick from a variety of merchandise key-chains, dolls, and designer wear that you love. Check out the tweens and teens wear girls’ selection available on Shopwishlist.com

Though Uglydolls and Uglydolls merchandise can be found in mainstream stores such as Urban Outfitters and Nordstrom, there are numerous online stores selling these products. These make perfect gifts on birthdays, parties and impromptu gifts. If you have been looking for Uglydolls merchandise, just browse online and there is a wide variety available. From toys, books, dolls and designer wear, check out the discounts and special offers at Shopwishlist for numerous designer wear. If you are fashion conscious and wanting to have a different look, team up an Uglydolls tank top or tee shirt with your denim jeans and chill.

I was asked by an elderly lady in need of extra money, to sell her collection of porcelain dolls that she has acquired over many years. Some were discovered stolen, and sadly many of the dolls, though new in the box with tags (franklin mint, bradbury, etc…)reek of cigarette smoke. The boxes are also somewhat dusty and smell. I would like to clean them up so as to get as much money for them as possible, but I don’t want to damage them as some are older and some such as the Jacqueline and John F. Kennedy dolls may be quite valueable. I would appreciate any advice on my mission! Thanks

Barbie dolls have become a tradition. Being a tradition turns you into a collector’s item. The specialty dolls are highly sought after and can become very valuable as the years pass. For example, the Holiday Barbie is normally hard to come by each year. A person has to make sure that they are in front of the line whenever the doll is put on the shelf; if not, they will not get one as they usually sell out.

The Barbie doll was released at a toy show on March 9, 1959. This has become her birthday. She has since been nicknamed Barbie. The wife of one of the co-founders of the Mattel toy company thought of the idea. She then named the doll after her daughter Barbara. It was because of Barbara that Ruth got the idea. She watched her daughter play many times with her paper dolls that assumed the rolls of adults. During that time, dolls that were produced was only manufactured as infants.

Random House published a biography of Barbie. The biography reveals many things about the Barbie doll. Her real name is Barbara Millicent Roberts. She was born on March 9, 1959 to George and Margaret Roberts. They all live in a fictional town known as Willows. The biography continues on to include Barbie’s boyfriend, high school, etc. By the way, her boyfriend is Ken Carson. Over the years, there has been many companions produced for Barbie and they include: friends, family, siblings, etc.

Barbie has experienced many careers over the decades. The careers that she participates in usually reflect current times. For example, in 2010 expect to see an Astronaut Barbie and a Registered Nurse Barbie.

Barbie dolls have caused many controversies over the decades. It has been criticized many times. It has been said that the Barbie doll represents unrealistic ideas for a woman’s body.

Many little girls have idled Barbie; however, it is said that she causes poor self image because the girls cannot live up to the perfection that Barbie portrays. Mattel answered back by increasing the waist size of Barbie. More recently, the release of the “Totally Tattoos” Barbie caused controversy because of the “tramp stamp” tattoo.

Barbie dolls have been in production for decades, and they will continue to be produced. We are now seeing the tradition pass into the third and fourth generations with great-grandma, grandma, mom, and child playing with the dolls. Mattel has seen the value and still produces collector dolls that can be found at their Barbie collectibles website.

I’ve had a collection of 15 limited edition barbie dolls for about 10 years. Many of them are form movies like Cinderella, Scarlett O’ Hara, Titanic, etc. Some are famous like Cher or Marylin Monroe. They are not in mint condition, but I think that they look good, except for some whose dresses have little brown stains on them. Do you think I could get rid of these stains somehow? Which would be the best place to sell them on the internet (no e-bay please!)? How much would someone be willing to pay for them?

Recently I had a tenant move out of a house I was renting to her. When I went to check on and clean up the property I found that she’d left a few boxes with a variety of old collectible toys and stamps.

I’ve never been one to collect and sale items but I’m sure some of these things may be worth money, but I don’t know the first thing about finding out what there worth or how to go about selling them.

Also a few of the old barbie are in mangled boxes but the dolls themselves are untouched, are they still worth anything?

This doll was a hard plastic doll, very small, the size of a clementine orange. They were NOT the Kupie doll (or whatever it was called) but do look very similar. They were cheap and I remember them from Toys R Us. They came in small plastic wrapperrs and were sold at the front of the store. They were all different dolls, different positions or facial expressions. That made them all collectible.
If you can give me the correct name I will give you besst anwser (ten points). If you dont get it right you can at least guess!
Digger, I dont remember nappies or hair, but the size is right. could be them, im desperate for their names! I thought I remembered them coming with little candy bottles that the kids could eat but im not sure about that.
